Cocktail hour in the Southern Ocean
This workshop runs from 19.00 – 20.00
Ever had a cocktail with a mini tsunami twist? How about a mocktail with a glacial garnish?
Mix up your own storm in a glass at this hands-on cocktail and mocktail workshop with researchers from the School of Ocean and Earth Science (University of Southampton) and Winchester School of Art. Reproduce the ocean’s layers, recreate the forces at play and reflect on their effects on climate change – all while enjoying a refreshing beverage. The Southern Ocean of Antarctica might seem far away, but what goes on under the surface there has a direct effect on what happens here on the shores and ports of Southampton.
Please mix responsibly.
Please note that this event involves the preparation and consumption of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Please let the staff at this event know if you have any allergies prior to consuming any of the items.
