Your everyday recycle, repurpose and reuse choices can spark big ideas. Inspire Change at the 2026 British Science Festival.
Willmott Dixon is committed to leading the way in the circular economy — repurposing materials, reducing embodied carbon and minimising waste.
In partnership with the University of Southampton, we are creating a unique pop-up installation and panel discussion at this year’s Festival. This experience will celebrate how simple, everyday actions can inspire meaningful change and encourage everyone to think about what they can do to recycle, repurpose and reuse in their daily life.
One inspiring example is Darren Allsopp, an award-winning Hampshire-based sculptor. Darren’s striking bug hotels are crafted from reclaimed metals and demonstrate how creativity and sustainability can come together. You will be able to see his work featured at the event.
