Dark stories from deep-sea sharks

Run time: 10.30 – 11.30

Historically, the dark realms of our deep seas were dominated by large, long-living sharks. But recently, things have begun to change.
As a result of human activities and climate change, the gigantic sharks that once roamed the oceans are in decline. They are being replaced by smaller, more numerous creatures. To try to understand this better, marine biologist and ocean explorer, Daniel Moore (University of Exeter), has been exploring seas around the world. Join him to hear about what he’s found out about these dwellers of the deep – how they live, hunt and survive, and how this is impacting us here on dry land.
Come for the sharks, stay for their future.
