From microscope to mural: Plankton portraits

This drop in activity runs from 12.00 – 17.00
Watch in wonder as local street artist Joanna Ross (Good Idea Today) takes plankton portraits created by Festival attendees and transforms them into an outdoor mural for the streets of Southampton.

As Joanna paints these tiny underwater creatures on a big scale, you’ll uncover the fascinating ways that plankton move, live and survive. You’ll discover how the plankton relate to the personalities of the people who created the portraits and what we humans share with these microorganisms.

This event is part of a series of events exploring plankton through relation to self and creativity.
