Mapping the human story
Run time: 10.00 – 15.00
As technology grows, so does our responsibility to the billions of people around the globe who are affected by it. Meet the scientists and artists working to make that happen.
The School of Geography and Environmental Sciences (University of Southampton) invites you to explore how human data can be transformed into stunning visual stories. By creating maps that reveal global inequalities, they can help everyone to better understand people’s lives and what we can do about building a fairer world. Get tactile with the pieces, try out some touchscreens and take a turn creating your own data collage.
Whether you're curious about global challenges or just love maps, this exhibition shows how data can help us understand the world – and each other – in new and creative ways.
