Paint your plankton portrait

Run time: 18.30 – 20.00

Dive into the world of small but mighty plankton and discover what traits you share with these tiny underwater creatures. Get up close to plankton through the microscope with scientist Elena Garcia-Martin (National Oceanography Centre) and capture the beauty you see with street artist Joanna Ross (Good Idea Today). Discover how you relate to these microscopic lifeforms through a unique personality quiz before creating your very own plankton self-portrait.
These portraits will be transformed into a collaborative mural that will represent our community – humans and plankton – on the streets of Southampton. This workshop is part of a series of events exploring plankton through relation to self and creativity.
