The play protocol

Run time: 13.00 – 17.00
How does science move beyond the lab and into public life? And who makes the decisions to get it there?
Step into a fast-moving game where research meets politics, public opinion and chance. Play snakes-and-ladders with a twist with researchers from Soundscale (University of Southampton) and explore what shapes research beyond the lab. From funding pressures and media attention to regulation and collaboration, this game is less about winning and more about uncovering how decisions are made, delayed or redirected.

This event is part of series of events exploring how technology shapes our world.
