From Brexit to the US-China trade war and economic sanctions on Russia, global trade is being reshaped.
As countries introduce new tariffs and trade restrictions, the effects are felt far beyond the nations involved. Thirty years after the establishment of the World Trade Organisation, the world trading system is being upended by growing geopolitical tensions and shifting trade policies.
Meredith Crowley (University of Cambridge) will explore how trade wars can change the way goods move around the world, affecting economic growth, businesses, prices, and all of our lives.
