Yoga for health

Run time: 11.00 – 12.00

Downward dog and pigeon pose your way into better health in this yoga class with a twist.

The Faculty of Medicine (University of Southampton) explore how contemporary science and ancient yoga practices meet to fuel your body and brain throughout your life. Yoga isn’t just about strength and flexibility, it can also help with major illnesses, such as diabetes, chronic pain and strokes.
Breathe, move and meditate through the stages of life—from before birth to older age—and uncover how health is shaped along the way.
All experience levels are welcome. Yoga mats will be provided.
This workshop is part one of a four-part creative event series exploring lifelong health.
